Disney is producing a new 2D Mickey Mouse cartoon, returning to the character's classic roots.
Ironically, the project is headed largely by talents formerly associated with Cartoon Network.
The series' main creator is Paul Rudish, who used to work as an artist and director on Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls. He's joined his Dexter's Lab and Powerpuff dirrecting colleague Clay Morrow, the Powerpuff Girls artist Joseph Holt, and SpongeBob director Aaron Springer.
